Lake Lynn is a made-made lake and a park in Raleigh. It’s popular. The downside of this popularity for nature photography is that there are always lots of people around. Of course, the up-side of this for nature photography is that there are always lots of people around. As a result, many of the animals here are remarkably habituated to the presence of people. This great blue heron is an excelent example. I was three meters away and he was completely unconcerned. A fisherman there told me that he and his friends toss their smaller catches his way. The bird walks up to them when they have their fishing poles. The little fish he has here was earned honestly. Explore highest #256
