Balinese boat taxi for me and my bike as I rode around Bali in 1990. I rented a crap mountain bike with only four gears that worked and explored the whole island. Crawling up mountain roads with four gears was a challenge, but not impossible for a Copenhagener. That was the last time I ever bothered with mountain bikes. Sooo last century unless you like to ride them offroad on... for example... mountains. But riding those bumpy tyres on roads is just silly. The few people left in Copenhagen who ride mountain bikes in the city have, at least, switched to road tyres. But Bali by Bike was spectacular. Copenhagenize.com
Pura Ulun Danu

The Pura Ulun Danu is located on Lake Bratan, in the north-western part of Bali. At 1239 metres above sea level in the Tabanan area, the lake fills the crater of ancient mount Bratan. This Ulun Danu temple is dedicated to the goddess of the serene lake, as a manifestation of Brahman as Wisnu, the preserver.
