The bosphorus which separates Europe from Asia and links the Med with the Black Sea. Its only about 800m wide and 20km long but provides such a vital link between two huge seas. The Bosphorus bridge in shot with Europe on the left and Asia on the right. The barge is dredging for the new Mamara immersed tube rail tunnel under the straight I would assume. Note the Byzantine wallks along the waterfront. Istanbul Turkey

AnnMaree leans against a wall on the outer northeastern edge of the Topkapi Palace, with the Bosphorus and the Bosphorus Bridge behind her. Down some steps nearby was a cafe, although we didn't try it out. As you can tell, it was a cold day.
