Dave the Dolphin

Risso's Dolphin lost in the River Clyde, near the city centre (just upstream of the Squinty Bridge). He's in a pretty bad way with a couple of gashes above the eyes and looks quite thin. These dolphins normally swim in the Atlantic and it is incredibly rare from them to come close to shore, never mind so far up a freshwater river. (He also seems to have done a spot of shopping whilst in town)

Clyde @ night - south bank between millenium bridge and glasgow science centre - Glasgow Scotland. Personally i thought this was the best image from that night - however i'd love to go back on a night when the SECC actually has it's lights on and maybe it will become a close contender!
