This is kind of a bizarrely specific ad to put on the T, complete with acronym. At least it seems like it is until you remember that the red line runs past MIT. (And since you've probably never heard of ITA unless you're a frequent flyer geek, they write software that does scheduling and routing of flights that they sell to airlines, but they also host a demo of their technology that is pretty useful for ballparking how cheap a flight could be. Oh, and they're also known for having some pretty ridiculous take home interview questions on their site.)

I still think of them as turnstiles, but nothing turns anymore. The MBTA calls them fare gates and they were installed to be compatible with the Charlie Cards. I miss tokens sometimes.
