The view from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's Platform 4 across Keighley station to the British Railways side of the station. In 1969 all the Midland Railway character was still intact on BR as well as the KWVR, including the target running-in boards. The old parcels trolley looks like a museum piece but was probably still in use. On the left is a oil-lit carriage red tail lamp which were still used for many years after on BR stock. Platforms 1 & 2 are on the Leeds-Skipton line which is now electrified

When I saw this sign I had Buzz Lightyear in my head saying To Skipton, and Beyond!. At least Skipton is nicer than Keighley - I really wasn't impressed with the town.

Trip to the KEIGHLEY & WORTH VALLEY RAILWAY. Notice the young lad on the right. Kids of all ages can't resist watching steam engines.

Because of rebuilding work, platform 4 was not in use so the Worth Valley trains were using platform 3 when we visited.
