Flat Stanley Rides the Port Authority Subway

Flat Stanley is traveling from Newark, New Jersey to Manhattan in New York City on the NY/NJ Port Authority metro line known locally as the PATH. The PATH is New York's oldest subway system. The PATH is above ground during part of its journey as it travels from Newark to Harrison to Jersey City. From there it is underground and under the Hudson River until it ends at the World Trade Center train station.

this tiny tail end of the meadowlands, hemmed in by Amtrak to the north and NJ Transit to the south, is home to an amazing variety of wildlife (see note) and seemingly endless variety of shots from the train.
