1975 yılında Antalya'da meydanın ortasında işçi ve çocuğu heykeli yapıyorduk. Halk bana model durdu. Kahveci çırağını o çocuğun portresi olarak yaptım. Halk da heykelime çok sempati duydu. Halk benimseyince adı Kara Ali'nin Oğlu konuldu. Hatta heykeli yaparken herkes gelip bana heykelin anlamını soruyordu. Aynı anda ressamlar da duvarlara resimler yapıyorlardı. Bir baktık bir gece bütün resimlerin üzerine boya atılmış, benim heykelimi aşağıya indirip kırmışlar. Heykelim 3 parçaya ayrılmış. O anda çocuğum öldürülmüş gibi oldu. O hırsla Bu heykeli demirden yapacağım ve artık kimse kıramayacak dedim. Heykeli yeniden yapmak için gece gündüz çalıştım. Bu kez de o zamanki AP Belediyesi elektrikleri kesti. Her yerde elektrik yanıyor, biz belediyenin önünde çalışıyoruz, elektrik yok! Günde 15 saat çalışarak heykeli bitirdim. Sonunda betonun üzerinde uyuya kalmışım. Şu anda heykel Antalya Parkı'nda denize karşı çok güzel bir yerde... 12 Eylül'ün hışmından halk sahip çıktığı için kurtuldu. (~Mehmet Aksoy arkitera.com/h60083)

Sunset over Antalya.............It has been awhile since I posted a landscape or sunset shot so...I thought I would share this photo with you all today.. As many of you know my camera is fairly new and this is the first Sunset shot that I have taken with it....not maybe the most exciting or beautiful but hey it is a start....there are not as many spectacular sunsets and sunrises these days....over the winter they are more fantastic...
