[44-365] Ukulele Sunday!
Made by c_chan808
I've been anxious for the last couple days. Woke up today to some temporary good news! More on that on a another post...soonish. Then, I got ready to head down to Kaka'ako Waterfront Park to check out the third annual Ukulele Picnic. Ukulele virtuosos and legends from Hawaii and Japan performed on the hilltop stage overlooking Diamond Head, Honolulu Harbor, the ocean and mountains. There was also exhibitors showing ukulele related exhibits, a wide variety of merchandise and food vendors selling really delicious food and refreshments. To read more about this picnic, check its website Ukulele Picnic in Hawaii It was a beatiful day to be outdoors but just a little too hot for me. More photos from the picnic to share later tonight!

Four students, two teachers and three crewmembers perished in the accident. This Memorial with nine links of the anchor chain and the actual anchor from Ehime Maru, honors the nine precious lives lost and serves as a place where their souls are remembered.

The downtown Honolulu skyline view from the Aloha Tower. Enjoy! Update: I would like to thank the very kind (I mean that sarcastically) people at IHateYourHDR for featuring my image and drawing some people to my page. So sorry this image has affected your life in a very personal way, hopefully you can find something here you like. This is the reworked version. Maybe you'll hate it a little less....

The view of Honolulu you encounter when looking east from the Aloha Tower. The busy Honolulu skyline is never short of interesting colors. I always love cranes in skyscraper shots, not so much for their look, they are usually an eyesore. Instead, they usually are a symbol of progress. Thanks for checking this out. Enjoy!

Kaka'ako Waterfront Park sunset. I guess it is better being up on this hill than in the parking lot. What a pleasant late afternoon seeing flickr friends. Great to finally see online friends in person and to meet altogether new ones.

When you feel like you're sailing alone on a choppy wave, and suddenly the sun goes down and you become invisible, just keep going and remember to look up often. For you with love, Peg~

When i heard about the Wagon, i thought this would be a good time to try that yellow toned, old faded photo affect. I think it works for this one... More to come...

I was never an athlete, but I am quite sure that most sports require some form of discipline. Nice evening for a run!
