Angular stairs Rear entrance. Entrée arrière. Built in 1992, Le 1250 René-Lévesque ouest, also known as IBM Marathon is 47 stories high. Although the perspective does not show it, this is actually a very tall and beautiful building in downtown Montréal. The purpose of the bird-like structure above is to have a place from which the window-washers can hang their platform.

I did an Autostitch composite shot of , a couple of weeks ago, here's the same thing for the overlapping rectangles west side facade, facing Drummond Street. I can't say that I was really taking note of what cars were parked on the Drummond Street side of the parking lot facing the Bell Centre (Centre Bell), from where I took the source photos for this Autostitch, but I think that red Ford Focus makes a superb foreground anchor, adding a bright dash of crimson red to overwhelmingly blue and grey surroundings.

I took a little walk downtown after work on Friday and took a bunch of pictures. Here's a few of them. The 1250 René-Lévesque building, seen from the René-Lévesque boulevard side.
