Huesca (Aragonese: Uesca; Latin: Osca; Greek: ska, Ptol. ii. 6. § 68) is a city in Aragon, Spain. Huesca is the capital of the Spanish province of the same name.
- Most of old Huesca city is being knocked down.
- The little Romanesque church of SS Pedro y Pablo. The capitals in the cloisters are by the same master as those in the Cathedral of Jaca. This church used to be the Christian cathedral during the Muslim occupation.
- The former mosque is now the cathedral, an interesting mish-mash of styles with late Gothic doorways and a Renaissance carved alabaster altarpiece by Damian Forment.
- The Casino in the centre of town is Modernista (Art Nouveau) with interesting interiors which can be visited, and a bar.

Monasterio de San Pedro el Viejo, Huesca, Spain The Old St Peter Monastery is located in the historic downtown of Huesca. The first Christian church was built by the Visigoths on the site of a Roman necropolis. This early building was the worship place for the Christians under the Muslim rule. Aragonese troops reconquered Huesca in 1096, then several new Christian churches were erected. They called the Visigoth church the Old one. The old church was donated to the Benedictine order. They erected a new, Romanesque church and cloister in the 12th century. The capitals of cloister represent the life of Jesus and some scenes from the Old Testament. There are 38 capitals, 18 of them are originals,the others are reconstructions from the 19th century.
