Playing with a graduated ND filter

To make a break with the concert photography, here's one additional shot I took a while ago; a view to the sea in Hietaniemi, Helsinki. Basically, after leaving work I decided to test how my graduated Cokin ND filter works with the 10-22mm lens. The result was a quite decent, albeit slightly unreal-looking shot you're looking at. I had to crop the corners a tiny bit because of some vignetting (14mm seems to be about the limit of having significant additional vignetting, so true ultrawide is not an option with that filter), and this image is actually combined from two different RAW conversions, because the Cokin filter does have a noticeable magenta color cast. Thus the need for manual white balance for the sky to avoid magenta clouds. It's slightly annoying extra work, but trivial with RAW images. The faint partial ring and the two pieces of rainbow - lookalikes in the sky aren't lens flares; I'd say that the ring is the fairly common 22º halo, and the rainbow piece - lookalikes are sundogs.
