Turkish Military Museum

This museum is huge, and takes hours to go through even moving quickly. They not only have examples of weaponry used by Turks all the way back to the nomadic horse archer, they also have a wonderfully eclectic collection of captured weaponry from all of the conflicts they've been involved in. While we were there, we caught a performance of the Royal Mehter Band, which was originally used for signalling orders to the Ottoman army. They have a long tradition, and dress in the historic costumes of the Ottoman era.
