[6/365] 3 Souls
Made by Lastien
Today was average. I started waking up an hour late, at 7:30am. I finally fixed in the morning class what I had been working on all night. Then came the big thing: the film roll. It was developed. But not scanned. I went back to uni to try with the scanners, but it didn't do. The guys from the photo store at uni could do it, but since I'm not a photography student (haha), I have to pay 10$ for ONE shot. So I went back to the lab that developed it and paid 20$ to get the WHOLE roll scanned. I'll have it all back tomorrow. Since I expected to post film pics today, I took this out of boredom. You can call it random shit. Random shit with heavy editing. A blah day. [6/365 - oct 14, 2010]

43. This Is For You All
Made by Lastien
I will never forget, I will never regret, I will live my life. Listen. This morning the last epic internationals party ended. We all parted, going our own ways, some of us going back to Nathan Campus by taxi. We exchanged farewells, we'll meet again someday, hugs, tears. Once I got back to my flat, I sat right where I took this and I thought about this great adventure with the internationals, watching the campus waking up. I quickly went inside to fetch my notebook and a pen and went back outside to write it down. Cause I don't want to forget. [43/365 - nov 20, 2010]

52. Mirror Image Room
Made by Lastien
Big on white. Last Friday I moved into a new room (until the 5th) because the previous flats will undergo renovation. The new room is actually a mirror image of the previous room. This being quite disturbing, I decided to make it visible by retaking in my new room the same shots I took of my old room. Up: new room, K403. Down: old room, . The wall in the new room actually is blue, I didn't lower the temperature. [52/365 - nov 29, 2010]

Corn Cob Plant
Made by Compmouse
I don't know what this plant is really called, but they grow all over the Brisbane area and look like little eaten cobs of corn. Banksia spinulosa, sometimes known as Hairpin Banksia, is native to the three eastern States of Australia, extending along the coast from Victoria to Cairns and distributed from the coastline into forest areas of the Great Dividing Range, In coastal areas of New South Wales it tends towards a dwarfed habit but further in the mountains it is taller and more upright.

SOOC. This has to be the fastest 365 I ever did: I (finally) dragged my ass out at 5:35pm, found the location 200m from my room, spent some time shooting, and was back at 5:55pm. After editing (which was no editing at all, except minor cropping), the picture was ready for upload by 6:02pm. Nothing much today. Working (ahah, as if). I browsed Explore for a while until I couldn't anymore, due to cant-take-it-all-I-do-is-shit-gonna-hang-myself-ness. [25/365 - nov 2, 2010]

Fox watching
Made by Colinmo
Walking to my office in the morning, I spotted a fox walking around a scrub turkey mound on one of the many native forest sections Griffith University Nathan has through its buildings. Thankfully, I always carry my camera in my work bag. This was the first photo, as I scrambled to get the camera on and ready, the fox left the mound and headed through a path. I started for the stairs and stopped when the fox peaked its head around the top.

Dream, movie, or good ol' real World?
Made by Lastien
Barisbane, Australia. Sometimes, there's just no way to tell if you're walking in a dream, in a movie, or just the boring and familiar real world. Inspired. I've seen his awesome work a long time ago, but it still lingers in my mind. Again I screwed it up by removing the camera before the exposure was finished. Oh well. View on

[4/365] Teeny Origami Series
Made by Lastien
This is one of the paper animals stuck on my window. Here's the story I got when I first came in my new room: The previous owner of the room was a guy who had his girlfriend living in another block. That girl was following origami lessons. Each morning, she made a new funny-looking animal on paper and stuck it on the outside of his window. Whole family in comments. [4/365 - oct 12, 2010]

Inspired. The Student Administration Centre on my campus. I took a bunch of pictures while exploring the heart of the campus. This panorama was shot at ISO 400, hence the noise and chromatic aberrations, sorry. Not much going on right now. Brisbane, Australia. [40/365 - nov 17, 2010]

[2/365] Motivation

I wrote this and stuck it on the wall at my desk. Just in case. Sundays won't be very productive or ass-kicking since I mostly spend them working when in uni terms. I wonder if I'll get any sleep tonight... Oh, and today is supposed to be special: 10/10/10... Whatever, the rain doesn't seem to care. [2/365 - oct 10, 2010]

Grass Tree
Made by Compmouse
This plant grows to a height of over 4 metres and often has branches. It’s growth rate is only about 1 metre every 100 years. However, the flowering stalk grows at a rate of 2 – 3 cm per day reaching to a height of over 3 metres. Mature plants will result in flowering every 2 – 3 years.

Starting to catch up with the 365. Saturday, 4th of December. A day spent preparing for the trip to New-Zealand. David picked up some of my stuff (computer included) to stash it at his place. I watched Due Date on that day: t'was fun. My last day in Nathan campus. Kinda sad.

My second Blythe is coming!!I think Emily is a good designer. Strawberry wears very pretty outfit. She is similar with LeLe, the hair color, the face shape and also the expression. I am so lucky to take her home. Love this beautiful girl♥

Made by Lastien
This is me being bored and lazy at golden hour. Not much about today, a lot of sleep, pain in the legs from last sunday's paintball game. I should work. But I don't really want to. [11/365 - oct 19, 2010]

Where is the Law?
Made by Lastien
Heavily inspired (if not an attempt to do the same :p) by 's project Invisible City. It's raining again. Brisbane, Australia.

The Green Tip
Made by Lastien
Taken while walking around my campus at sunset in Brisbane, Australia. HDR and a little Photoshop. I didn't want to put it here at first, but I thought the bokeh seemed nice.

Anthill
Made by Compmouse
This is the largest anthill I've ever seen, but according to some of the photos I've seen on the net it's not the largest ever. I'd say this one is about 4 feet tall.

Wildlife on Campus
Made by Compmouse
Some sort of wild turkey that lives on campus I think. It's definitely one of the larger birds seen walking around campus. They like to eat from the garbage cans.
