A shore front development at Granton, Edinburgh, this art deco building (is this properly called an art deco building?), reminiscent of a large ship's superstructure, looms out of the late afternoon sea mist. The third balcony down from the top carries a large banner BUYER BEWARE. It often happens in the summer that a late afternoon sea mist like this will roll in from the Firth of Forth (estuary of river Forth). Original DSC02223

This is actually miles' away from any water and most certainly isn't an island (besides the British Isles). It seems - according to what I remember from Dad, that this building is a trademark for the Lighthouse Company. Just the slightest hint of flare, would you say?
