Headquarters

We were lucky to stumble upon the exact position where the headquarters of the Democratic Army of Greece during the Greek Civil War were. Unfortunately, after the war ended this location was dug and most signs of its former use vanished. This is one of the few remaining holes in the ground which served as gunnery positions at that time.

The big peak to the left is Kato Arrena and underneath it is the area called Kampitsios. In the background you can see mounts Vasilitsa, Avgo, Smolikas and Timfi. In the beautiful forest under our feet used to be the headquarters of the Democratic Army during the Greek Civil War. We stumbled on the location later on.

They strictly told us from the TV not to go to the beach these days. I obeyed. :) Yours truly on the top of Perifano peak (2,444m), my highest to date.

I have. Oh, by the way, that's not snow on the trees. It's frost created overnight.
