100 sec. long exposure with ND400 of my favorite lake. As I took countless pictures of that lake by now and uploaded about a dozen one could think I must get tired of taking pictures there. But I won't. It's sort of weird but I do always come back to that lake expecting to take the perfect and ultimate picture. I suspect (and hope) that will never happen. There are so many photo opportunities and depending on the weather the lake has so many faces and always looks different from the previous visit. I love it to be there and to search for new perspectives, light conditions and to try alternative settings/techniques etc. Additionally it's a nice place to relax and to enjoy nature's beauty. Always remember: The best photographs in the world have yet to be taken. (Can't remember who said that.) large

I was hunting for the sunset and some guys in the forest behind me were hunting an animal. I didn´t feel very comfortable when almost every push on my release was answered with a report of a shotgun. But don´t worry, I´m doing fine. :) Some technical details: 10 mm, HDR, a load of layers and masks ... took me about 3 hours to process this. The stones in the water are my favorite part of the image. :)

One more from the archive. Not forgotten, but almost. I took this in November 2006. No HDR used for processing this time. Which software (database) do you use for managing your photo archive? Does anyone use iView MediaPro? Seems to be very good …
