Everyone (almost) learns to bicycle, everyone has a story to tell of their first time when they realized that nobody was holding the cycle any longer (from behind) and that it was flying on its own with only you could control it. And the fear of being alone turns into joy as one furiously pedals and sees the world fly past. The cool air brushes past your cheeks when someone from behind says 'Not so fast for the first time'. But you have discovered your wings and are keen on showing off and you turn and turn, and you fly, soaring high above everyone. And then you realize you have to somehow stop and the funny part starts (it becomes funny when its told for the nth time, extolling your bravery). A lot many have crashed ( i crashed into a standing car and once almost into a donkey). But you get up and pull up the cycle and ride on. You ride on, and thats life. You fall and then you fly higher and higher above. (this one is from a walk in Chamarande, near Paris, where someone learnt to fly and brought back my memories)
