Deconstruction
Made by Lars Trebing
This is a piece of what’s currently left of the Robert Sauer buildings which were completed in 1969 and where much of our mathematics and computer science faculties was located until 2002. The buildings have been decomposed carefully during the last few months to remove all the asbestos inside. The remaining concrete and steel is now being torn down. This photo was somehow inspired by who is really great at taking photos that involve buildings and blue sky.

New and old
Made by Lars Trebing
The building in the foreground was finished in 1969 and torn down in 2007. The building in the background was finished in 1836 and is still going strong (though it did need some reconstruction work after World War II). It was the world’s largest museum building at the time of its construction. This finally completes my small set.
