Evolution
Made by JonBauer
Had a Palm device since working at USRobotics in 1986. Have also been carrying a BlackBerry for many years now. I've ALWAYS struggled to get data from various web sites when I'm not home. Palm has Blazer, which is a poor excuse for a browser - getting data is like deciphering hieroglyphics. Of course, the BlackBerry has a browser, but here again - it's just poor. The iPhone, however, is a device that CAN be used to navigate the WWW without hassle. Ok, no 3G, but living in San Francisco allows for free wifi almost ubiquitously, and in a pinch - Edge is ok (well, it's tolerable...) Yes, the www.oqo.com/ or the Ultra Portable Vaio would have done the trick, but not at the price point I wanted, and not nearly as elegantly. Thanks Apple - finally there's a device that can do what no one else has pulled off for this seemingly simple task. This was my # 1 need, and of course, the iPhone does all of its other functions as simply and cleanly as this feature. Never been an Apple fanboy, but I'm becoming one now. Issues that still bother me/don't work: 1) Using my @pacbell.net domain name email address with Yahoo IMAP. 2) Why can't you plug in the AC and the USB at the same time? 3) No search across most functions (email, calendar, contacts) 4) Safari kinda buggy - needs work.

First attempt - not a good one

Ok, the first attempt was a disaster - I tried to use the single shot basket, and it didn't fit in the Silvia properly. The puck was hitting the top of the group (not sure if it's the proper terminology...) Called Kevin (http://www.flickr.com/photos/krobison/), my coffeegeek friend, he walked me through it again. Using the double basket, I was able to pull an espresso shot, steam the milk, and made my first latte drink. Honestly? It was horrible. I have a lot to learn.

Wisdom Teeth
Made by maxonemillion
These bad boys were taken out of my head on Monday May 7, 2007. No surgery, just some novocain and a pair of pliers. Note the cavities. These were the top wisdom teeth; the bottom ones were a lot bigger and in a lot better shape when they came out last year... I think I'm gonna make cuff links out of those.

This is a Chris Duke piece - oil on an old window pane. Looks great when the sunlight hits it. Potrero Hill scene. Chris Duke can be reached @ 415-245-8371 (1769 Folsom Street)
