The Fonias River on the island of Samothraki has a set of six or seven waterfalls that provide a fantastic setting for swimming (look closely and you can see a swimmer in this picture). The first couple of falls are fairly easy to walk to, but the path becomes increasingly vague and treacherous farther up the river. This photograph is of the second falls, but I went as far as the third and fourth. Samothraki, Greece
