St. Petri was the main church of the town of Cölln, the twin town of Berlin during the middle ages. It was destroyed and rebuilt a couple of times and finally torn down in the 1960ies. These days, archeological diggings take place at Petrikirchplatz square right in Berlin's city centre. As usual, there was a churchyard around the old church. So one of the main findings are quite a number of sceletons which will be burried again at another cemetary in the end.
