One of the newer set of quarters on the island. Probably from the Coast Guard in the 70s or 80s, so it technically isn't a military barracks. Governors Island is located in the New York Harbor, approximately one-half mile from Battery Park in Lower Manhattan and one-quarter mile from Brooklyn. I thought I'd take an early Saturday morning off and explore it a bit.
