I miss the Guy Fawkes' nights of old... the smell of cheap chinese gunpowder in the morning, the burns from dropped sparklers, the biscuit tin with the rockets in and the severe adverts advising you not to hold the fireworks in your hand when you let them off... Still, they did quite well at the Elland Round Table Fireworks display, there was parkin and tea and bonfire toffee from Dobsons, and youths misbehaving and parents overemphasising the oooohs and aaaahhhs for their young children, most of whom were more interested in their replica lightsabres.
