Fortunately HDR dressed it a little. *** Ciutadella chapel, designed by the architect and engineer Prosper de Verboom in 1728 and built under the direction of the engineer Alexandre de Rez. This buidling exhibits an impressive harmony and is now open for worship, and for use by the army. -------------------- CASTELLANO Para mí es la capilla más fea que he visto nunca. Joan Prim was the guy who liberated Barcelona from Castellian rule. He is an icon of Catalunyian independency. Behind him... the Mapfre building... another icon in Barcelona. This statue is in La Ciutadella Park. La Ciutadella Park was a city inside the city and was converted into a park in 1869. Until today the project suffered some modifications. It also was the main stage of the First Universal Expo of Barcelona in 1888. Sculpted by Luis Puiggener in 1887 but was melt in the Civil War and was recreated by Frederic Marès in 1940.
