Interesting places in Eindhoven:Eindhoven is a municipality and a city located in the province of Noord-Brabant in the south of the Netherlands, originally at the confluence of the Dommel and Gender brooks. The Gender was dammed off in the post-war years, but the Dommel still runs through the city.
Eindhoven is a rail transport node with connections in the directions of:
- Tilburg - Breda - Dordrecht - Rotterdam - Delft - Den Haag
- 's Hertogenbosch - Utrecht - Amsterdam Zuid / WTC - Schiphol Amsterdam Airport
- 's Hertogenbosch - Utrecht - Amsterdam - Haarlem
- Helmond - Venlo
- Weert - Roermond - Sittard - Maastricht/Heerlen
Eindhoven Airport is an airport with some international destinations, just 5 kilometers outside the city. There are flights with KLM Cityhopper to London Heathow, and Ryanair serves London Stansted airport, Dublin, Rome, Milan, Pisa, Barcelona, Marseille and Glasgow. Air France also has 3 return from Paris to Eindhoven on weekdays.
The A2 national highway from Amsterdam to Maastricht passes Eindhoven to the west and south of the city. The A2 connects here with the A58 to Tilburg and Breda and to the A67/E34 to Antwerp. In 2004, the A50 was completed connecting Eindhoven to Nijmegen and Zwolle.

The relevance of light for the human culture is vital in his work. His lighting installations shift not only the appearance of architectural and urban sites, but they refer to aspects of the evolution of light from darkness to luminescence and their possible values. Foundation Based on profound research on the history of the city and on the St. Catharinakerk, the lighting installation ‚Foundation’ synchronizes visually the profane and the religious foundation of Eindhoven: In accordance to the idea that - not just in the Christian context - a church is a place where enlightenment is based, the inside of the church is filled with artificial light which illuminates the colorful stained glass windows. From the showcases in the pavement in front of the entrance, which are part of an historical exhibition project, beams of light will be raised. The facade’s lighting and the voids at the entrances to the square act as their visual counterparts. In the interplay with light, architecture, color and time, the appearance of the building and the square will be transposed to an atmosphere of persistence, supported by the music composition of Nacho Rodriguez Bach. www.lighteam.eu

The Sint Catharinakerk in the centre of Eindhoven, the Netherlands is neo-gothic church designed by Pierre Cuypers, who also designed the Central Station and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. I'm not religious or anything, but I like the peace and quiet inside. Big here.
