Edale
Edale is a small Derbyshire village in the Peak District, in the Midlands of England. It is best known as the start (or southern end) of the Pennine Way. As spelt, the name is first recorded in 1732. Earlier recorded versions of the name are Aidele (1086), Heydale (1251), Eydale (1275), Eydal (1285) and Edall (1550). The pretty church in the village of Edale in the Peak District, UK. In the background is the peak Kinder Scout - the highest point in the peak district. Taken on a walk around kinder scout via gridsbrook clough and jacobs ladder last weekend, the flowers on the rememberance cross really caught my eye when passing. Colourwise virtually untouched from the camera - ND8Grad over the sky really popped the colour (i brightened the spire a little in photoshop to counteract the grad)
