Powermill building

Powermill building
Made by petemcl
These buildings are made of heavy stone open on the river side and with tin roofs so that if there was an explosion while grinding and mixing the gunpowder in the mill the explosive force would go out and up toward the river thereby protecting other employees and buildings. This also prevented secondary explosions..

Water power transfer

Water power transfer
Made by petemcl
Here a small, horizontal, water wheel submerged in a water flow diverted from the mill race causes a series of shafts and gears to turn transferring the power up the hill to a workshop by the main house. I makes a continuous rattle and squeaking sound that is interesting given the lush foliage and garden setting.
