The GYSD' 08 activities gave the children to take real vigilant roles in solving their own problems at the school. The children from the immigrant community get a platform to express their sufferings and hardships in their school. This process increased the Child-child partcipation in solving their issues in a place where their lonely and out of their community. The girl child has identical problems, which both the children above are sharing.

The selection of members for the Child Peace Committee was carried from the 335 children of the Chakratirhta Primary school, Puri. The head mistress along with teachers, media representatives, members of YOJANA were present during the processes. It was finalised by the children to have membership from both the communities, so as to increase the partcipation of both the groups and get sustainable results.

As a part of GYSD' 08 (2nd round), the members of the Child Peace Committee attended the seminar on conflict resolution and peace building. A total of 30 children partcipated from both the commmunities reading in Chakratirtha Primary school, Puri. A total of 16 boys and 14 girls are the members.
