September 1955 auf Lidingö bei Stockholm; eigentlich Carl Emil Wilhelm Andersson) war einer der bedeutendsten schwedischen Bildhauer, der vor allem durch seine Springbrunnen bekannt wurde. Seagod sculpture by Carl Milles: Carl Milles (1875, Lagga – 1955) was a Swedish sculptor, best known for his fountains. He was married to artist Olga Milles and brother to Ruth Milles and half brother to the architect Evert Milles. Carl Milles sculpted the Poseidon statue in Gothenburg, the Gustaf Vasa statue at the Nordiska museet, the Orfeus group outside the Stockholm Concert Hall and the Folke Filbyter sculpture in Linköping. Finally back in town! Saw these guys nine years ago when they played on a boat(!) here in Stockholm. The acoustics on that pram wasn't the greatest but I'm sure the show is remembered with joy by those (quite few) who were there. Never thought they'd come around again, especially after Bass Wolf passed on a few years ago. Well, I was wrong, luckily. And this time the show was tighter in all senses, and the sound great. Also I can now look back at July 11 anno 2007 as the day I got to shake hands with Seiji-san, lead singer and guitarist. Ok, so he mistook for Macke, singer in Turpentines, but still.
