Opened on 16 june 1936 by Queen Wilhelmina. A bridge across the river Waal. The length is 604 meters. And 65 meters high. When world war 2 started the Dutch army blew up this bridge, The Germans repaired it. At the end of the war the Germans tried to blew up this bridge again. But they did not succeed thanks to Jan van Hoof! Dutch pride flowers and bridges!

Ik heb de tip van maar opgevolgd, en vandaag zijn we naar Nijmegen geweest. Dit is de welbekende brug gezien vanaf de Waalkade..... I followed the tip of René, and we went to see Nijmegen today. This is the wel known bridge, seen of the Waalkade (shore)..
