These scales are actually the many metal tiles which make up the BP Bridge connecting Grant and Millennium parks in Chicago. Shot at night, under artificial light, handheld at a ridiculously high ISO (hence the noise). Converted to B&W and Platinum tinted in Photoshop.

The BP Bridge, a cool wood and metal bridge that is supposed to look like a ribbon fluttering in the wind from overhead. All I know is that it cost 14 million dollars, or the price of 2 luxury condos downtown.
