Sometimes I'm still amazed at what you can find within a 25-minute drive of Vancouver's downtown core. and I did our normal Sunday thing, waking up early, and heading across Vancouver's Lions Gate Bridge for some North Shore hiking. This time around we checked out Cypress Falls in West Vancouver. The falls were fairly impressive, but even more impressive were some of the really, really big trees that were 200 to 300 years old. Incredible wilderness, just a 10 minute footwalk away from Caulfield in West Vancouver. Had to shoot handheld real quick, because a Black Bear watching me behind those bushes. I am not kidding.......
