Iron (Steel?) Magnolias

I was really surprised to see Magnolia trees in bloom in May. Until I had the sneaking suspicion they weren't real. I had to touch them to make sure. Sure enough there was a tink, tink sound. And I'm also guessing they're made out of some sort of iron (or maybe steel since this is in the Steel City?)
