I took this photo in the 1990s with a Halina or something like that, it was the first camera I had. The line of old palm trees in the middle distance were meant to have started life on the sea front - since then the area beyond has been reclaimed from Table Bay and built on.

There are several funny stories from my driving in South Africa, getting stuck going round and round in roundabouts, and ramming the curb really hard every time I tried to park. Suffice it to say that I ended up paying to replace both hubcaps on the passenger side.
