Crossroads Mall in Bellevue has a giant chessboard that is available for public use. There's a regular rotation of players both young and old challenging each other pretty much all day. Put your name on the white board to challenge the winner of the previous game. I know how to play chess, but I haven't been brave enough to sign up for a game yet. It's been a few years since I last played. Perhaps I'll take a shot after a few more visits. BTW, the kid in the blue shirt won 3 games straight. I'm sure he won more, but I was too hungry to hang out any longer.
