While looking for wild flowers at the Core Arboretum, I stopped to investigate some shelf-mushrooms on a fallen tree. I glanced down at my knee, and this spider was about 2 inches from me, holding perfectly still and apparently unconcerned. He stayed motionless for several minutes while I photographed him and several other nearby crawlies. See it . [NOTE: This is not cropped! I plan on making a 35x23 inch print of this for my wall. :-D Muhahaha....]
