CNA Plaza

Because of its bright red color, the CNA Plaza is one of the more prominent buildings in Chicago's skyline. It was designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst & White and it stands 600 feet on S. Wabash Ave., just a block west of Michigan Ave. When there is an important event in the city, this building's lights are arranged to depict the logo of the particular event - for example, Breast Cancer awareness month, White Sox World Championship victory, support for the Bears during the playoffs and more.

CNA Building and El Tracks

The CNA Center is the big red box on Chicago's skyline. The 1972 Graham, Anderson, Probst & White building was originally slated to be black, but Radmilo Markovich one of the architects boldly decided on red, love it or hate it.

The "El"

The CNA Plaza building is a funny colour and sticks out like a sore thumb.

One of the biggest storms of the year

From my office window at DePaul's downtown campus. I could see lots of people in the CNA building (the red one) watching the storm, too.
