London's Tate Modern Art Gallery, formerly the Bankside Power Station (designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and built between 1947 and 1963 before closing in 1981) viewed from across the River Thames. Off to the left are the Millennium Bridge and the reconstruction of Shakespeare's Globe theatre (Can this cockpit hold the vasty fields of France? Or may we cram within this wooden O the very casques that did affright the air at Agincourt?), the latter about to stage a midnight performance of Othello. And in the foreground...something that, apparently, eats rubbish. Anyone for a Pot Noodle? Taken in London, England on Friday, June 22, 2007.
