9/17 - Day 150 of Year 29; A Three Massage Day
Made by 427
Go up and headed to meet Kit at the subway station this morning. Heading to JJ for shopping. We were going to be doing more shopping and less looking, but we were still waiting for some confirmation on future plans. We wandered all morning and looked at lots of the things. Kit left at noon to visit with his in-laws and left me at JJ… where I immediately got lunch and headed to get a foot massage! The masseuses were so funny. Shopped some more and purchased a few things for myself, and some gifts. I got a second foot massage before leaving JJ at 6. Downed a Red Bull and headed to Sukhumvit with the goal of some “Red Angry Bird” merch for someone back home. (And I had seen some items there I haven’t seen anywhere else.) Dinner of Indian food. Headed to Silom Soi 4 for beers and talking to random expats. Wandered somewhere on Silom and got a full body 2 hour thai and oil massage. Yes, it was a 3 massage day. I was then planning on going out dancing as it was Saturday night. But I tuckered out and grabbed a Tuk Tuk and headed home at midnight. Life is hard.

roasted pork It is the largest market in Thailand that spans over 35 acres. Sell almost everything from clothes, household stuff to pets! It is so huge that shoppers are advised to buy stuff once they see it as it is almost impossible to find that stall again later.

On the weekend we checked out the Chatuchak Weekend Market in Phahonyothin. I quickly snap a photo of Molly peering into nothingness while we took a break and hid from the monsoon rains at a local street vendor. The beauty shot can be found here :

Sights of Chatuchak Market. Everyone has talent, but only a handful nurture it. Under the hot sun at noon, she bears the agony to play something beautiful for all to see. How a little person can touch a person with her gift is beyond us.

Alone at Chatuchak. But I knew I was breathing the same air as you did. I was standing on the same land as you did. And I was listening to the same language, even though I would never hear you say happy birthday to me.......Ron mak....

Chatuchak Clock Tower
Made by kevinpoh
Chatuchak, also called J.J. Market or the weekend market, is one of the world’s largest outdoor markets. The clock tower in the center of the market is the easiest place to find, if you are lost.

Clock Tower

Since the market is too big. This clock tower is a good meeting point. And people can also regard it as a guiding tower to find their ways when they get lost shopping in this super big market.
