Chalcis
Chalcis or Chalkida, Halkida, Halkis or Chalkis (Greek, Modern: Xalki'da, Ancient/Katharevousa: -is), the chief town of the island of Euboea in Greece, situated on the strait of the Euripus at its narrowest point.
