Centro 18 in Pilsen
Made by stevevance
As of Feb 18, 2008, no construction has started, only earth moving last summer. It has been a year and a half since this picture was taken. Centro 18, the new floft (fake loft) in Pilsen. So far, there's nothing of note at the website. Demolition of the buildings north of this sign has started. It's funny to watch the Flash intro: They have a picture of how there is transportation in every directions. The picture is of a commuter train that doesn't exist in this state. Sidenote: Metra trains stop at the Halsted St. station about 4 times each weekday. I wish they had more times, at least when I was commuting to work on Halsted St. from the suburbs. It would also be a great way to get to Chicago. A 10-ride ticket from Union Station to Halsted St. would cost $1.66 per ride - cheaper than CTA and way more direct to Pilsen/Chicago Arts District.
