Our first view of Basel as we exited the Swiss train station (SBB). This is the first panorama I've ever done. It isn't good at all, but I like it so here it is. Our hotel (Hotel Victoria) is the yellow building to the right of center, and one end of the train station is at the far right. The Centralbahnplatz, central location in Basel for the tram lines (all move through here), is directly in front of us. Best viewed in the large size.

Many tram routes pass through or terminate here outside the main railway station. Underneath the station square there is a huge bicycle parking area. Three generations of tram can be seen here.
