There's something striking about the parallel between the crosses of Recoleta and the antennas on the rooftops of the surrounding buildings. I'm not sure whether it's the thought of TV antennas being religious icons or of the crosses being antennas, but it seems to hit upon a common desire for both status and transcendence in some strange and powerful way.
