Citibank Plaza is 206 m 674 ft and 53 floors high, and was finished in 1992. Located in the centre of Hong Kong, it is situated next to the Bank of China, one of the city's most emblematic constructions. Far from competing with it, the new building seeks differentiation. Fruit of the intersection of two towers of different heights that combine straight and curved facades, contrasting with the straight volume of the Bank of China. The towers go straight into the ground, without any base body, and the curtain wall of the facades withdraws to leave the structure bare and provoke the entrance to the building, letting it flow towards the garden and the square which accompany the building.
