This is Lollita aka Lolli. She was supposed to be a boy, at least that's what the woman I got her from told me. Turns out she's a girl ^_^ a very bratty, cute one at that. She's got hazel eyes (I'm gonna have to put another one up soon to show them) and she's electric. This photo was taken during one of the rare ocasions when she's actually tired from all the running and pursuit of imaginary fiends. She's looking at my older cat, Francisco, whom she worships (which doesn't mean she won't indulge in biting his tail from time to time, or suckle in his chest - don't ask!).

In memory of Takashi Yoshitake (1953-2009) Yoshitake-san was my friend. He was the owner and master of the Aya restaurants in Lisbon. He was a gentle, funny, intelligent person, who everybody loved and respected. He left a great legacy, the skills he passed on to his students. This photo is my goodbye to Yoshitake-san, a beautiful dish of Sushi and Sashimi prepared by one of his disciples. His skills live on, just like he wished. My portfolio

The disk farther away is set to 80Gb mode, running fedora, we will boot from that one to finish recovering. The other one is the destination disk, the new 80Gb one, but with jumpers set to 32Gb max. Below them, the SCSI data disk (bad, bad, disk, no cookie!) and another older IDE (OS and boot, 8Gb).

Some details: the big fan and cooler. Three ATA channels and 4 SATA. Two SATAs and one of the IDEs are connected to a Hardware RAID chip (RAID 0, 1, 1+0 me thinks). Also a management module is available. At the back, dual gigabit ethernet.

Side by side. Strumpf is the blue one. The white CDROM was inside Strumpf, but I moved it into Japh to install Fedora on it (and run memtest86). It will go back to strumpf. I have another CDROM to put inside Japh.
