This wreck was (and probably still is...) very close to the tourist area of Istanbul (Sultanahmet), where it borders on the Marmara Straights. (See googlemaps) Apparently, children use it as a diving platform during the summer months.

Can anyone help me find more informations? The shipwreck is (or was) located at the end of a park overlooking the Bosphorus, near the touristy areas. When I was there (June 2005) works were underway to salvage the metal and probably remove the wreck. You can look at this in (hope Yahoo! won't hate me for this! :-) )
