bay street, just south of bloor. my new wide angle zoom lens (canon ef-s 10-22) arrived and I'm putting it to some tests. so far I'm very impressed with it. this was shot from inside our friend Marjan's car while I held the camera out the sunroof shooting a number of shots blindly, hoping for a good composition. the fact that I played a solid 5 hours of Outrun 2006 on my PSP might have something to do with this too! The Festival Walkway
Made by gino888
After you're done traipsing about Yorkville, there's another alley here near Bellair, festooned with giant castings of grape vines in a piece called, The Festival Walkway, by ecological artist Reinhard Reitzenstein. Supposed to be brilliant at night as the shadows are cast upon the ground.

Bloor-Yorkville Alleyway

After crossing Avenue Rd, having passed a block of hotels, we approach tony Yorkville with its glamorous brand stores and what not. Ignore them. Pay close attention to the alleys which pierce the seemingly wall to wall branding and lead you north to a quieter public space.
