A portrait of Deborah, my childhood friend's daughter. This young lady is only eighteen years old, she is french and she came to visit me with her mother and sister during August. It was the first time they were coming to India and they were under the spell of the country. I took this picture the day before they left. All the women in the family decided to make this day special in order to make it unforgetable. They dressed her as a north indian bride and they throw a party for her. This young french woman became an indian princess for a day and she understood how beautiful she was through everyone's eyes. She came back to France being more self-confident and with this enchanted feeling of being able to follow her dreams... India is now in her eyes and in her heart for ever. Vidyarthi means student in Hindi. Twinckle is doing MBA in Kolkata in West Bengal. Twinckle is a nephew of the family and I took this shot when he came to visit us last winter. Like many indian students he is spending most of his studies far away from his place in order to get the highest quality of scholarship.
