Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk
Made by Sean Munson
View from the belfry in Brugge. Brugge, while more touristy than Ghent, was also much greener. There was a lot to like about each city. The Church of Our Lady's tower reaches a height of 122m -- the tallest in Brugge -- one of the tallest brick structures in the world. It was built in the 13th-15th centuries. The Historic Center of Brugge is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Belfort, Bruges
Made by John D McDonald
I visited Bruges for a few days in late July and took a few hundred photos, most of which, at time of writing (3.8.2008), are still to be processed on my computer. I have done some processing tonight on the first photo and posted on Flickr to open a Bruges set as a placemarker to those whom I told to watch this space!
